Think of a car with sheer power and stunning performance, with head-turning looks and exhaust note to match and you are thinking of Ferrari. The Ferrari name has featured, in its own right, on the race tracks of Europe since 1929, when Scuderia Ferrari was formed to prepare Alfa Romeo cars for competition. It was not until 1947, however, that the first true Ferrari made its racing debut at Piacenza. Since then the name has rarely been out of the lime-light, either in the form of the cars themselves or their enigmatic creator Enzo Ferrari. The Ferrari sports cars are among the most exciting creations ever to have graced the roads.
