There is a distinct series of Ferrari cars starting with the Ferrari 250GTE 2+2 and culminating with the 400. The series spans nearly 25 years of production beginning in 1960 and has several key factors about it which interlinks the cars and creates the overall 'series' aspect: front-engine V12 in capacities ranging from 3 to 5 litres. There's an introduction to the early Fifties production Ferrari 4-seaters, the Types 166, 195 and 212 then the book plunges into the development story of the following; 250GTE, 330GT, 500 Superfast, 365GT, 365GT4, 400GT, 400i and Auto, finishing with the `futurethink' Pinin.
